Decide where your own website fits.
A store website and a marketplace can work alongside each other. Start with where customers find you, the costs you carry, and the control you need.
Where will buyers come from?
A marketplace has its own search and shopping environment. An independent store needs traffic from existing customers, social media, web search, advertising, or referrals. Launching a website does not automatically create demand.
How much does the address and experience matter?
Your own website gives you a domain, store identity, and control over the information customers see. A marketplace follows its platform layout and rules. Each can serve a different part of the buying journey.
Compare total costs for your order pattern.
Toko Aksara charges a subscription and setup fee, with 0% platform commission. Payment processing and shipping still cost money. For a marketplace, check current rates and programmes in your seller account; business type and participation can change the calculation.
Account for the work of running two channels.
Products, stock, support, and promotions need attention on each channel. Toko Aksara currently has no direct marketplace synchronisation. Brand helps move a catalogue through Excel or CSV import; it does not synchronise stock across channels.
Try the work your team would do.
Explore the admin and store demos, then note which tasks fit and which questions remain. Use that to decide whether a website should be your main channel or complement an existing store.
